I used gdiapers with DS for the first 8 months. They are supposed to be a "hybrid" diaper. In the beginning they were great, we would use disposables when out and gdiapers at home. The reusable pants can be washed with the rest of the laundry, we did all of his laundry together with all free & clear. The problem was, as he got older and was eating more solid food, his poops were bigger and sometimes more messy and he would leak out of the flushable inserts on a regular basis. We were also out & about more as he got older and so by 8 months we switched over to pampers baby dry. When DS was very little they were awesome, but I didn't find them convenient for older babies. We still have the gpants and some boxes of inserts, so I am considering using them when DS # 2 arrives in March, but again, I will only use them in the newborn stage, so I am not sure I would call that worth it.

There are other hybrid diapers out there that are better.

I was looking at these to use at home with but have read what NaturalMama wrote....they're only good until you start solids. Which is okay with me because by then DS better be potty trained.
OrganicMama, which hybrids would you recommend that won't break the bank to buy for 6/8 months? will be FF if that matters at all.
