15 month old and food regression
DD is 15 months old and is having a food regression. She doesn't want to eat anything I put in front of her more than a few bites. She will just ask for cheese over and over again.
Am I a mean mommy if I don't offer her something different? Is she too young to understand she wont get something else instead ? Or should I try everything until she eats , even her favorite, cheese.
I just remember my nephew went through this and as a result he has severe eating issues, down to the shape and brand of the foods he will eat. I just fear giving her what she likes will create this.
Please give me advice. TIA

Re: 15 month old and food regression
I can tell you that many kids will go through SO many phases when it comes to eating. My DD is now 4 and over the years we have gone through everything with her.............phases where she couldn't eat enough, phases where she didn't want to eat at all, phases where her favorite foods became hated foods, phases where all she wanted to eat was the same thing allllllll day long, and on and on.
I think a lot of kids are inherently picky either because food doesn't interest them, they are too busy to want to stop and eat, they have changing taste buds, etc. My advice is to let her have the cheese but still keep introducing her to other things too. Chances are she will move past the "cheese only" phase............which by the way, my DD had too. Cheese and yogurt, it's ALL she wanted.
