FIL just told me he heard on the radio that people are dressing up as LIPA workers, knocking on doors, and breaking into homes.

That is just sickening. Just saw on the news that looting is starting to happen in the east village and parts of queens. So incredibly sad.

My DH works with a girl who just moved into an apartment in Long Beach. Everything was brand new, when they went to check the damage, everything was stolen!!!

so sad.. but with the economy the way it is.. it doesn't surprise me. More and more I hear such insane acts of anything to get money, things that they need, things they want, etc. A lot of people are at the end of their rope and opportunity is abound.

People suck, just completely suck. We were in Long Beach today tearing up everything and there were some shady people walking around looking in people's windows. When we locked up behind us, I had a knot in my stomach thinking that our place my get robbed.
