Someone posted the other day about gymboree- we go to MYGYM and since we've been going there ds has gotten sick more than ever before- he had roseola last week, coxsackie 1 month ago and a cold or too

I spoke to the owner and she said they sanitize the toys 2x a week. That really doesnt seem like enough- is that the standard though or do other places do it more?

I was the one that wrote the post the other day about my twins being sick ever since we joined. I spoke to the manager and she said they sanitize every night/morning before the classes. I don't know how much I believe them, but 2x per week doesn't seem like a lot to me.

2x a week is not enough IMO. My daycare does it daily and there are less kids coming through the classroom that at a Gym place. My sons classroom only has 8 kids and they do it everyday.....I can only imagine how many kids go to a My Gym in a week.

I used to work at a mommy & me a long time ago. We always did a quick sanitizing of toys between each class (whatever we knew had been used) and we did a thorough cleaning and mopped down the mats at the end of each day. 2x a week is not enough IMO.

P.S. even with all that cleaning, the mommy & me I worked for has still had people complaining on these boards about their kids getting sick. It's not fool-proof, kids still get sick.
