Need Peditrician Reccs for Ronkonkoma or surrounding areas.
So after 12 years my ped decided to close his doors suddenly with no warning to his pt or his staff. The message playing says its due to health issues. I don't know what to make of it.
This man was like family to me. We wanted him to be our sons godfather. Im hurt and shocked by him closing his doors without telling anyone.
So now I am left scrambling to find someone new and figuring out when I can get my boys records. My 2yr old is behind on vaccinations due to my ped changing offices and him putting them off. Now this. My oldest is a asthmatic. I feel like I was punched in the stomach from the news.
So please any recs out there on great peds. Good bedside manner, friendly w. a friendly staff, down to earth. My DH prefers we go to a smaller office because he likes for the boys to see the same dr. I dont mind a somewhat larger practice as long as all the drs are great. So I will take all suggestions big or small.
I am in Ronkonkoma but I can travel. I was going to Patchogue for my former ped so I am def open to traveling for a great ped.

I use Eisenberg Pediatrics in Sayville.
Small office- just him, his associate (female) and an NP
Very nice- I like them all a lot.
I feel very comfortable with them all
The office staff is pretty nice too- with the exception of one receptionist who isn't the friendliest... but she is never nasty or anything.

Thanks for suggestion. I will look into them. I heard about them from a friend and she likes the ped there.
Bump for anyone else suggestion, opinions, recommendation.

Dr. Amy Goldberg at lake grove pediatrics! She is wonderful! The only dr in the practice and he knows you're children and you. She cares about her patients. She has called and checked on my girls when they were sick. She has young kids herself so she can relate. She just goes above and beyond. The office staff is wonderful too. I travel to see her because I had my dd in a large group and I hated it.

I go to a larger practice. I see Dr. Kleinberg in Holbrook. Staff has all been great so far. They are located on union ave, not too far from the train station.

It's a big office but pediatric and adolescent medicine on union ave in Holbrook is who I use. I have seen 3 different doctors there and have wonderful things to say about all of them. I always request one of the 3 and if none of them are there, I will try another doc... They have separate sick and well areas which I like as well.

I go to Dr. Hartman is Port Jefferson, he is the only doctor in the practic and the same people behind the counter for years! I love him and so does my son! I never have a problem getting an appointment, even sick appointments are given the same day.

I go to Mid Suffolk Pediatrics in Islandia on Motor Parkway. It's a big practice but I've liked most of the doctors I've seen. The one I stick to for her well visits is Dr. Kee - so nice and easy going. Love her!

This is who I use as well! Plus they are open 7 days a week in the holbrook office including holidays.
I use them too. I have to see the same doc for well visits and they always make the accommodation. When they are sick and we can o ly see the doctors there I have never been disappointed!!!

Mid Suffolk for us as well - although ive got a newborn, so ive only been there a few times so far. I've seen Lily Lawton & someone else (both PAs) & I really like Lily.
They have great hours, open 7 days a week & holidays. You can call for an appointment before they open.

We are in Ronkonkoma. We go to Stony Brook Pediatrics in East Setauket (Tech Park). We see mostly Dr. Ryder and Dr. Downs and love them. They have a brand new office space, very clean and professional. We never wait long at all and I believe there is a separate room for sick kids to wait.

I also used this doctor and LOVE him!...I am SO sad and upset that this happened! We loved Dr. R only want the best for him but very sad inside.
I was just in the office on Friday and everything was great!
I spoke to several friends and they recommended Dr Tochers office in Miller Place.

Dr. Kee, Amy Curran, and a few of the other younger ladies I really enjoy working with. I haven't met one of them I didn't at least mostly like... I usually hate all docs..lol

I use Mid Suffolk Pediatrics as well . Ms. Curran is an absolute doll. No problems w/anyone DS has seen and you cant beat their hours.
