Parenthood...Christina
Do you think Christina will pass away?
I'm not sure I could keep watching if she did.

I think thats what they're leading up to so they can kinda shake things up a little bit with the storyline. I do admit I think the show would be more interesting if her character passed away and seeing how the family deals with it and so forth.

Re: Parenthood...Christina
I seriously hope not. the show would be sad without her. but it might get bad with chemo for awhile. i think it was wrong that she lied to her daughter though. I know they wanted her to stay in school but id be pissed if my mom did that to me.

I recorded it and watch the first 40 mins on DVR this morning. I got up to Max's speech...started crying and had to leave for work. Cant wait to finish the episode.

Re: Parenthood...Christina
I can barely handle the whole chemo thing she is going to go through, and I have to say, I would want to stop watching if she passed away, or even if it got really bad chemo wise.
I watch it because it is one of the few, real, feel-good shows that are left on TV...I know cancer is real, but they could have left it out. Their family already struggles with Max, and just having Nora..it's just too much. It's too real, and just too sad, and I am sure hits home for too many people who watch to forget about stuff like this happeneing.
Either way, I usually cry in a good way, watching this show, and lately it is too sad!

See - and I disagree - not to sound awful and I hope you all get one I'm saying but I'm impressed that the storyline is going deeper than "Oh, Kristina had a cancer scare, tumor's gone, everything's fine, la la la" - kwim? Because, THAT's real life. This is not a comedy, this is a drama and cancer, as we all know, does not discriminate - even when you already have a special needs child, a baby, etc. I will be devastated if she dies and between Max's speech and her storyline, I was crying my eyes out last night, but as I said, I'm glad that the writers are keeping the show very real.

I agree that they kept it real, but I will have a hard time watching if Christina passes away.

Re: Parenthood...Christina
So I finally watched last night. I loved the episode! I was soooo mad that they lied about her prognosis! NOT COOL!!! I was in college when my mom got really sick and I was REALLY mad when I found out a month into her hospital stay.... I know it's just a show, but why lie to your kids!?!?!?

I agree they kept it real but I don't know if I can watch if they kill her off. I sob every episode as it is. And I totally disagree with them lying to Haddie. That's awful to do to her. You can't "hide" chemo from your kid. Just awful

This to me is the best family show on TV. It is real and touches everyday life. Christina is such a huge part of the show, and it has been so hard to watch the segments with cancer, again it touches real life problems. I hope they keep her. I love all the characters. This show is eally great.

Real again she is protecting her daughter and wants her college life to be all it can be. NBC has a great hit with the show.

If she dies it will be what we deal with everyday. The show is all about family and they will use this to move forward, make a difference and stay close.

I sob every time I think about them hiding this from their daughter! And these aren't even real human beings, they are tv characters. I'm too attached.

It seems Christina takes a turn for the worse. They were showing a video she made to the kids (I guess in case something happened to her about how much she loved being their mom) and Adam by her bedside willing her not to leave him :( I'm tearing up just thinking about it. Awful lol
