Can you fit 3 car seats in a sedan?
I have a small car and there is no way a third car seat would fit in the back seat.
Does anyone have 3 car seats in the back of a sedan?
DH refuses to get a mini van. I think I am going to end up taking DH's smallish SUV and DH will have to get one of those big SUVs with a 3rd row.

Yes you can depending on the car and the car seats. We've done it in DH's car. i have a Toyota highlander with the 3rd row. but i wouldn't recommend it for 3 car seats as it is a PITA to get into the 3rd row to buckle a child into a car seat and when the third row is up you have very little storage in the back.
We're looking into a Surburan type SUV or mini van with larger storage for when we buy another vehicle.

I don't know that you can. I don't think there's enough space for all 3. I have a 3 row SUV and I'm already hating the fact that I have to put one seat down to have my oldest seat there. To do this all the time, everyday is going to be a pain. Our lease is not even a year old but I already asked my husband if we can trade it in for a mini van.
ETS: we have a honda pilot.

i've never seen 3 regular sized car seats fit into any sedan. but that my just be my experience.
However, if your looking for SUV's,. i know the Honda Pilot and the Acura MDX both ccan fit 3 car seats comfortably and both come with a 3rd row seat

You can fit three seats in a Corrolla with the right seats.
Go over to car-seat.org, look for the 3 across thread. There's TONS of examples of different setups in different vehicles.

We know so many people with the Acura MDX. They all have 1-2 kids though.
I know the Mercedes SUV has a third row. DH and I both liked it. Don't think there is much trunk space though.

Good to know. Thank you. I didn't think of the folding seat part to get to the 3rd row.
We rarely ride anyone else's car so even if our friends have these cars, we ride in our car with the kids.
