Finger food ideas for 8 month old?

What else can I give him besides puffs at this point? He loves to feed himself, but I have another month before he can eat a lot of other things (cheese, egg, etc.)... No teeth yet.

You can steam veggies or bake fruit and just dice them instead of puree.

We don't wait to give anything besides honey, egg white and nuts/tree nuts/sesame (my older is allergic).

I would go ahead and try eggs or cheese. My Dr says no to eggs til a year but I gave them to DS at about 8 months. just watch for a reactions thats all.

You can also try cheerios, soft pasta little pieces of fruit or steamed veggies.

raviloi, elbow noodles, cheerios, potatoes (like homefries, but healthy), teether biscuit, veggies, fruit, chicken(i boil mine), meatloaf, pork. etc...

I give him almost everything we eat, just cut small and not so seasoned.

thx for the suggestions.

DD has food allergies, so I am not going to do anything early for DS-- but I guess he can handle very small fruits and veggies at this point.

Soft pasta
Any fruits cut up... Banana, melon, blueberries (small ones should be fine whole), pieces of apple, etc
Cheerios
Puffs
Steamed chicken in a broth. Brayden's first chicken was Passover b.c there was matzo ball soup and the chicken in it is so soft so it was perfect. That and matzo ball along with the veggies in it b.c it's very soft
