Spinoff to Christmas shopping....what are you getting DH?
My DH deserves something really cool for Christmas.
Of course I have no idea what to get him.

My husband just got the new Iphone so no new gadgets for him. I plan on getting him some blazers and jeans from Zara since he loves that place.

Last year, DH and I started a new tradition...we just get little stocking stuffers for each other, and we take the money we would've spent on a big present and donate it to a charity. We did the American Cancer Society last year.

I'd love to get him a new iPad (he has the original, so I'd be looking to get him the 3) or a Macbook.
Just not sure either are in my budget.

Love this. We did it last ear and donated to living water, an organization that helps people have access to clean drinking water. It's unbelievable how privileged we are and how many in the world lack the basic necessities. I was thinking of asking anyone who would get me a gift to donate this year. We are so blessed. Maybe this post will inspire others as well.

Yayyy!!! We've been doing this for a few years now
We rotate the charity based on my kids at work- they have different syndromes - Williams, angelmans , VCF etc

The best gift I think I've ever gotten DH was his iPhone case with the bottle opener on the back. He is a beer drinker and always has his phone on him, so he always has a bottle opener on him! I got it and other cool gifts at Thinkgeek.com.

Noooooo idea!!! He never really asks for much and the things he does like to get are always practical, useful gifts. (tools, weed whackers, etc) I try to be creative and come up with things that I know he'd love but wouldn't think to get himself but as of right now, I got nothing!  Going to have to start brainstorming, Xmas will be here before I know it!!!

I don't know if were buying "big" gifts for each other since we have big purchases coming up. A new truck, a new dining room set & hopefully new couches for our basement. His birthday is also Nov. so if I get him anything it will probably be one of the tools on his list!

We like to travel, so we'd rather spend the money there instead of on big gifts.
I might get him a couple of things we can use for vacation, like a toiletry bag, a floating cooler for the pool, and a dry gear bag.
For me, I'm not sure what I would like. I would like a new bathroom, but that's a bit much for the holidays.

We're doing the:
Something you Need- new white tee shirts
Something you want- a gc to brew some beer
Something to read- A beer brewing book
Something to wear- A Hops tie from etsy along with a new shirt and pants to match
We also do stockings but it's smaller stuff like new shaving soap, new razors, body wash, new toothbrush, cologne, lip balm and so on.

Probably nothing. Same as the last few years.
After buying for our son, 9 nieces and nephews, and our parents, we don't usually have a lot of money left for each other. 
We put a lot of money into our house each year, and this year we are preparing for a new baby, so our gifts are not individually picked out and presented, but given throughout the year.
Last year we tiled the entire basement floor and had central A/C installed in the basement right around Christmas, so that is what our "gift" money went toward.
It's domesticity, home-ownership and parenthood all wrapped into one!

This year we are gutting our house so if its done by then it will be filled with all new things sofas, tv etc so we said we'll just put bows on everything. We'll do a little something so we can open something.

Nothing or something very simple and small.
Money is tight. Whatever we spend is on our kids. To us that is what is important. We can always buy whatever we want throughout the year.

I have no idea for this year yet, normally I'm way on top of these things... Last year I got him a puppy and an iPad and then some other smaller stuff, a new brief case, clothes, dress shoes...
