Gassy baby:cries:
HELP!! I have a 6 weeks old that I'm EBF. He is so gassy. He gets really gassy in the evening. He has a witching hour every night around 8pm?
He cries and cries. I'm not sure what to do. Is it my diet or he it his GI tract? I have tried belly massage, bicycle movement with his legs, burping nothing helps. he hates being on his belly.I have also tried gripe water but nervous in giving him medication and especially something other than breastmilk. It does have 1-3 BM a day. Can someone give me some advice

Gassy baby:cries:
My first was very gassy as well. After checking with my ped, I gave him Mylicon drops after every nursing session. This lasted about a week-week and a half. It helped tremendously!! After that, I only used it occasionally if he had bad gas. It could also be an idication of a sensitivity to something you are eating. Dairy is the most common culprit. Check his poop diapers for specks of blood. My son was diagnosed with a milk protein allergy at 6 weeks, and the telltale sign was bloody stool, though he was also very gassy, and VERY fussy one particular day (in hindsight, when I had a LOT of dairy). You can also bring a poop diaper to your ped and they can test it for blood, which sometimes is not visible. HTH and that your little guy feels better soon!!

No advice, just wanted to let you know I went through the same thing. My DD had a witching hour from 6-8pm. My husband and I would watch the clock and dread those hours... Hang in there. it will pass....

Re: Gassy baby:cries:
I swear by Colic Calm. I was at the end of my rope when I finally found it. My DD had more reflux than gas, but it worked in minutes. I did not feel that the other gas drops helps.
