Another potty training question

Hes been doing well going pee pee in the potty, but just before he went to his usual corner to make a poop and he's in his underwear. I picke him up and ran him to the potty, but he didn't go. What do I do? He won't poop in the potty and I don't want him to make in his underwear either. He still wears diapers at night and not sure what to do in preschool tomorrow. So far pull ups b.c it's only been a few days and he comes home with the pul up full

Have you tried distracting him once you get him on there? At first it would take ds a while to actually poop on there (like 15+ min!), so I put a basket of distractions in the bathroom & a folding chair and I'd sit in there with him. We'd read, blow bubbles (he knew he could only do it in the bathroom), sing, do silly dances, play cars - you name it, we did it! If I knew he had to go (i.e. he had gone to his corner lol) & I put him on, once he got distracted enough we'd have success. I will caution that I then had a problem getting him OFF of the bowl lol I fixed that by removing the basket of goodies. After a few days without it he learned to sit, do his business & be done in a few minutes without distraction...in fact he started ordering me out of the room at that point so that he could have some privacy! lol Good luck
