They should both have a belt, so she shouldn't be able to get out.

However I know DD preferred to be more upright at that age to see what's going on.

Re: Trying to escape swing/rnp

i'm using the belts now, but it still makes me a little nervous because they only belt at the waist.
I just don't want to always stop and pick her up, but when i see her really trying to get out i really don't have much choice..stinks.

Yep- DD is 4 months and she just started doing this a couple of weeks ago. Like she'll arch her body up to try to get out. She's strapped in, so she's not going anywhere, but she still does it. I usually just take her out for a while and then put her back in and she's fine.

Trying to escape swing/rnp

My dd recently starting lifting her entire head and torso to see/ get out of the rnp!!! Weve been belting her in for the past month She's 3.5 months and ped described her as a tiny little powerhouse. Lol. I think I need to attempt the whole crib transition situation. I'm scared lol

When ds started this I started laying him flat on the floor more & sure enough he started rolling a week or so after (he mastered both ways within 2 or 3 weeks of each other). I travel the house with his playmat/gym thing and put him on it everywhere. We wound up transitioning him to the crib then too because I was afraid of his falling out & he had started to seem uncomfortable in the RNP at night. I still use the RNP, but not nearly as much as I used to.

My dd loved the swing! Then she started doing what appeared to be crunches in it, slowly but surely she wanted out. At 5 months we just packed it away Chat Icon
