potty training and preschool
My 3 year old DD is starting a 2 day a week 1/2 day preschool in September. She isn't fully potty trained and in the last week seems to be regressing. She went to camp this summer for 2 days a week and lioved it but they let her wear pull ups and use the potty when she wanted/needed. The new preschool she is going to said that she can't be in pull ups. One of my friedns told me just send her in pull ups and see what they say. What would you do? I don't feel comfortable sending her in just underwear b/c she'd not full y trained.

I don't think it is a matter of whether you send her in pull-ups or in underwear.
I think what the school is saying is that if she does have an accident, they will not change her or help when she goes to the potty. She will have to sit in her dirty diaper/pull-up until you pick her up.
I know when we were looking at preschools for DS, they were very clear that they preferred the children to be potty trained, but if they weren't, their diapers would not be changed during the course of the day.
I would just make sure she is in a clean pull-up right before class. She should be fine!

Depending on the school, they may call you to come get her if they see her in a pull-up. I put DD in one the day after a late party since she was totally off her schedule and they called me to come get her since pullups are not allowed.
Since it's only half-day, I would stress to your DD that if she wants to go to this "fun school" she has to wear underpants and stay dry.

If the preschool said no pull ups, then I would abide by the rule. I wouldn't want to put my child in a position where she has to be sent home and made to feel bad or want to put myself in a position where I am called out for not following the rules. JMO

do you have time to potty train her? if you have 3-4 days i would just put her in underwear and go full force, this way you don't have to worry.
with my DD it took 3 days to pee train and 5 to poop. she was about 1 month shy of being 3. i knew i had to get her trained because for ballet she could not be in a diaper.
if you have the time i would just at it head on.
and if her school requires her ton be potty trained in underwear, then i would make sure she was before sending her to school

Re: potty training and preschool
Thank you for your advice. We have been trying to train her for the past 3 months- most days she is just in underwear. She was doing pretty good but the past week or so she hasn't had any interest and has just been going wherever she is- such fun! I have been stressing to her how much fun school is like the camp that she loved so much. I'll tell ef she as to use the potty when she goes and she'll say I don't want to go to school then. She's very stubborn and potty training has been a total nightmare.
