Moms of 2+: What did you do when younger DC outgrew the infant car seat?
DS2 is only 1 month old so I have a little while, but I noticed that Britax car seats are on sale at a bunch of different websites. I have 2 Britax Marathons for DS1, which I bought 3+ years ago. DS2 will be 4 in December, but won't be 40 lbs. I also want to wait a while before putting him into a booster. When DS2 moves to a convertible seat, do I just switch him into my old Marathons and get a new seat for DS1 or should I keep DS1 in his seat and buy new convertible seats for DS2?
What did you do? If you bought a new seat for older DC, what did you buy?

I am not there yet, DD is 3.5 and 31 lbs, and DS is 6 months old.
But I will buy him a new seat, and then switch DD to a booster when she's ready. Car seats are good for 5 yrs, so by the time my Marathon expires, she'll be out of it.
We have a second seat in DHs car, but that converts to a booster. I think it's the Graco Nautllus.
What sites are you seeing Britax on sale? I am watching for them to go on sale to buy for DS .

I noticed the sale first on diapers.com, which was where I bought the Marathons for DS1. I think Britax may be on sale everywhere. I also saw albeebaby.com, amazon, BRu, etc were having sales for them.

I bought a new one - the exact one I had for my DS - Britax Marathon.

This is our plan. We will need another car seat when we get another car so we plan to buy the Nautilius since it's 30-100lbs and converts until she will be big enough for a regular seat more then likely. I just can't see buy another seat and then a booster as well.

DD #1 is 3.5 and DD #2 is 6 months old. DD#1 has a britax marathon and we just bought a new britax marathon for DD#2 since she was getting too big for the infant seat.
