Augmentin while breastfeeding

Anyone ever prescribed Augmentin while breastfeeding? What, if any, side effects did you notice in your baby? I was prescribed it and the doctor said it was safe, and I researched it before taking it and confirmed that it is safe. But I did read that baby can have some minor digestive issues. I have definitely noticed some changes in my son's poop, but he has also been a little more cranky than usual. Wondering if it might be related or if something else could be going on. TIA!

When DD was 5 weeks I came down with a bout of diverticulitis and given Augmentin. I was terrified to take it while nursing and also because she was so young. I just gave her probiotics (Klare Laboratory Infant Blend) twice a day and tried to replenish her gut flora as much as I possibly could. I also stayed away from crowds for a while until I could build her immunity back up. I didn't notice any side effects to her at all. The anticipation and worry was much worse than the actual effect of the med. Hope you feel better soon :).
