When do you pump when your breast feeding?
I have a six week old, and He is constantly eating! When do I pump? I try to pump when he falls asleep, but there are times he only sleeps for 15 minutes. Any advice? TIA

Re: When do you pump when your breast feeding?
I get the most during the middle of the night/early morn and then it tends to dwindle as the day goes on... So I really rely on that big one... And then really I pump whenever I get the time. I sometimes have to be right next to DD with her on her playmat and hope she gives me at least 10 mins before she starts crying! it's exhausting! I EP so normally when I'm done feeding her a bottle, I try to go pump but like I said, if she is having a clingy moment, I miss out on a pump session
Eta: sorry I really don't have any great advice... Just letting ya know you aren't alone

I pump in the early morning before he has his first nursing session. I've found that DS is much more efficient at emptying my breast than the pump is.
When he was younger and on a less regular nursing schedule I would pump throughout the day/night whenever I could.

I pump after one of the first morning feedings. That tends to be when your supply is best.

Re: When do you pump when your breast feeding?
When I was still home on maternity leave I pumped in the morning between 9 and 10 everyday. I picked that time bc I knew when I went back to work I would still use that timeframe. It's hard at 6 weeks bc there really isn't a schedule with feeding. It helps if you are consistent with pumping (if you need a freezer stash or bottles). Good luck!
