I think under 3 is free (maybe under 2? I know my DD was free and she is 19 months but they didn't ask how old she was) and non-residents are $10 ($7 for residents without town card, $5 for residents with a card)

From their website... Shipwreck Cove is open every day from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. during the summer. Islip residents with a recreation card enjoy free parking and a $5 admission fee. Non residents must pay $10 to park and another $10 per person to enter the sprayground. Children under four are free. Parking includes access to the beach and the public restrooms.

My DD loves it! I took her last year when she was 2 and she had a blast. If your DD is not a big water baby Hoyt farm sprinkler park might be better.

My 19 month old loved it and it looked like the older kids were having a blast too. I thought it was great...lots of tables and chairs around the pool area.
