City Select Owners

Until now I've been using the car seat adapter for Vinny on the top and Joey is in the bottom facing forward. Vinny is 4.5 months old and Joey is 2.5 years old.

Vinny is getting too heavy for the car seat to go up and down the stairs so I'm putting him in the second seat. Problem is 2 fold.

First I need Vinny to be reclined b/c he is still too young to sit up 90 degrees. Joey falls asleep in the stroller A LOT so I need him to recline as well.

Secondly, I put them facing each other and there was no leg room for either boy. What do I do?

Up and until now I loved the stroller but now I'm thinking it doesnt meet my needs. The city mini double is too wide for me to handle in and out of stores by myself. I'm in Brooklyn.

Re: City Select Owners

I'm also in brooklyn. Everyone I know with two kids have the double decker ones - Phil and Teds or Britax are really popular. I always thought they were unfair for the bottom kid, but now I get it - they are really convenient and I'm think ing of getting one of those when DS is born - DD will be 2.10 at the time.

Re: City Select Owners

i have the same stroller and just put ds in the 2nd seat - when I know they are both sort of going to fall asleep i put him in the top facing me and dd in the bottom, also facing me (facing the back of the seat on top - her legs extend into the basket area but that seems okay to me) - she is 2.5yo and sometimes will walk beside the stroller and can climb out if uncomfortable. When we are just strolling and no one is sleeping - ds on top facing me, dd at the bottom, facing out - but neither seat can recline this way...

i also have the city mini double which i use everyday to walk older ds to and from school and for walks around the neighborhood - i could never manage that stroller in a store though which is why the city select....

I can not tell you how many times we went back and forth to look at strollers and despite the fact that this isn't perfect it's damn near close - there really isnt anything else out there unfortunately Chat Icon I currently DESPISE folding the stroller with both seats on and have to detach the seats in order to fit it in my trunk but that is what it is - with the Phil & Ted's you have to detach the 2nd seat to fold as well, same with Uppa Baby - Uppa Baby 2nd seat has NO recline whatsoever, I think P&T's is the same....

Sorry for rambling....it is hard with 2 kids stroller age that are not twins (same size)....
