1 year old girl - haircut?
I just took my son to get a haircut (he is 4) and he has very thick hair. He has gotten tons of cuts. While I was there, the woman cutting his hair said I have to cut my DD's hair soon (she will be 1) "to let her big girl hair grow faster"...huh?
Is that true? She has very long, thin hair. I've thought about cutting the back to even it out because she has some wispy long parts and it's all uneven - but I kinda think that's what makes it cute. I had no intention of cutting it for a while, but I'm wondering if I should now.
When did you cut your DD's hair?

My DD will be 3 soon and we have never cut her hair. She did go through a very awkward phase where I was dying to cut it but I didn't. I'm glad I waited bc it grew in evenly on it's own.

I am not sure, but I can tell you if she has curls and you want to keep them - DON'T CUT IT!
This happened to my BFF's daughter - they cut her curls and they were gone!
BFF warned my SIL b/c her DD has curls and anyone that was around agreed.

DD is almost 2 now and we have yet to cut her hair. She has pretty curly hair though so it works on her. If you don't feel comfortable doing it, then wait.

My DD is 1 and we haven't cut her hair. I don't anticipate cutting her hair for a long time.
I think that hair dresser was trying to sell you some BS.

Re: 1 year old girl - haircut?
I cut dd's hair for her first bday. But she had this ridiculous long piece in front and I wanted to even it out. I have since given her 2 other cuts just tot rim it and even it out. One place cut her the most ridiculous bangs and i hated it. I was so upset on what this woman did. A little while later I brought her back to the original place I LOVE and they again evened it out and I haven't touched her hair since. Even though she could use on again, I can't bring myself to do it. I am just letting grow and putting it back. It does grow faster and thicker once you cut the baby hair.
But if you do, make sure you tell what you want and thats it.

1 year old girl - haircut?
DD is 15 months and I got her hair cut about a month ago. Just a little trim. At first I was a little upset after I did it (I think I posted about it actually), but now a month later I see it's growing in "tamer" and already looks better. I'm happy that I did it. DD has pin straight hair. Never had a curl. I love little kids with curls though so I bet if it was curly I wouldn't have cut it!
