it goes into their account......the gift was for them not me. its meant forcollege or home when they graduate. we havent been able to add to it yet but luckily inlaws have for birthday and xmas.
if god forbid i ever am short on cash if i had tok take money out id keep track of how much needs to be put back.
once a relative gave us a check and said to buy some toys and clothes...in thatcase we did.

I'm not 100% sure what we're going to do with it but I defintely won't be using it to fun parties or to let them blow it on videogames/toys when they're older. They have separate college funds but who knows, maybe we'll have to use their savings accts once it's time for college. Ideally we won't have to touch it though and they can use it towards a car, house, etc once they're much much older. I can't see letting a 10 year old go on a spending spree with it though.

It goes directly into her college fund.

We have a savings account and deposit all monetary gifts she gets. We also put $50 a week into that account and it will one day be used for college.
