I hate when people do that. If there was a newborn sitting in front of you with a name you didn't like, you wouldn't say anything negative about it, but people think nothing of voicing their opinion about an unborn baby's name.

I know what you mean. We decided to name our DD Scarlett pretty early on. But then DH's parents hated it...my parents REALLY hated it..and a few relatives here ans there would voice their negative opinions and Gone With The Wind comments. So, for most of the pregnancy we doubted the name and then drove ourselves CRAZY trying to think of other names everyone liked. Well..in the end we said eff it and named her Scarlett because thats what WE wanted. We decided that she was OUR daughter and if they didn't like it...too bad! Of course, now that she is here they already look past the name they didn't like and right through to my sweet lil princess.
They'll get over whatever you name your baby!

This!! This is exactly the reason we refuse to tell anyone the name until LO is here.
Sorry this happened to you.. go with the name you love and don't listen to anyone's opinions. They will love the name once  is here.
