When i had my dd alot of people got her purple too. I think cause her middle name is Violet Chat Icon But honestly you will get so many clothes and they grow out of stuff so quickly you wont be stuck just having your dd wear purple.

Just accept the gifts and let it beChat Icon

complaining about someone buying you gifts? It makes you seem like you are a a control freak. Enjoy your pregnancy and the people who want to shower you with presents. In the long scheme of things, this is such a small thing to be concerned over.

Agreed. There are so many other things to stress over; worrying about this is a waste of your energy and time.

If someone wants to give you a gift, you smile and say "Thank you'.

if you don't like the clothes don't have your kid wear them, but I wouldn't make an issue.

ITA! I love pink and got mostly pink outfits from people, but I don't care and will put any color on her. One of my closest friends LOVES purple and she gets me purple outfits all the time. I am grateful and appreciative she thinks of my DD (and she always gets such cute things too Chat Icon.

When I found out I was having a boy, I made a request to everyone to not get him only blue. Guess what? He still received alot of blue clothes and looked adorable in them! Also, between the pee, poop and drool, you will go through 3 outfits a day, so the more clothes you have the better!

Now that I am pregnant with #2, I am going through all of my DS's old clothes to see what is in good shape regardless of what sex the baby is!

Be gracious and move on.
