excited
to finally be on this board got my bfp today and am thrilled this was my last cycle before seeing a specialist
Of course I have a ton of things going through my head...and im sure ill be posting a ton of questions since this is my first.
my first question is... i have my annual obgyn appt scheduled for what will be 6 weeks 3 days since my lmp (or exactly 4 weeks since I ovulated)....can i keep this appt or should i reschedule for a later date? Due to mine and my husbands work schedule the time of the appt i have is perfect (early morning before work)...i had to wait 5 weeks to get into this time slot and i def do not want to wait another 5 weeks for an appt. will it be a waste to go that early? should i just reschedule and take a day off of work?

Re: excited
Congratulations and welcome!!
You should call them and see what they say. Sometimes they want to block off a longer time slot for a first OB appointment. They may want to wait another 2 weeks until you'll be 8 weeks in order to do everything at once. Your OB's office is definitely best to answer how they'd prefer it. You can explain to them about the time slot and see if they'll let you keep it, but there's a much better chance of seeing a strong hb and getting a good measurement at 8 weeks than at 6 so most offices want to wait a little longer to see you the first time.

Re: excited
Congrats! I agree you should call your OB and see if you should wait until a later date, I think they usually do the first internal sonogram around 8 weeks. If you did not get a pap smear they would also give you one then.

Re: excited
Congrats!!!!
I currently have my first appointment for 6weeks 5 or 6 days. I had a chemical pregnancy last year so I wanted to make sure to go as early as I could to make sure everything was on track.
