Which comes first? Rolling over related...
Which did your DC do first:
Roll front to back, or back to front?
Also, how old was your DC when they first rolled over?

My DS rolled from his back to stomach first and then stomach to back which my Dr said was backwards but not a big deal.
My DS hated tummy time which is why I think he didn't rool from his stomach to his back first.
He was rolling from his back to front at about 10 weeks and his stomach to back at about 4 months.

My DD rolled tummy to back first for this reason. She hated being on her tummy so much that she flipped to her back at any opportunity. I want to say she was rolling in that direction by 12 weeks and front to back was very soon after.
Now that she has realized that she might be able to get places easier on her tummy it's hard to keep her on her back.

Back to stomach first at about 3.5 months. Stomach to back was like a month later.

DD just rolled over back to tummy at 4.5 months.
DS was 6 months when he first rolled over. He progressed fast though.

Usually belly to back comes first, but not always. Both my boys rolled belly to back at 8 weeks, and back to belly at 6 months and 5.5 months respectively.

For my DS we kept trying to encourage him to roll from back to stomach. Then my doctor said it was much easier the other way around- stomach to back. He started doing it about 4.5 months all the time. Now at 5 months he can go both directions. When he goes to sleep I always put him on his back and when I get him in the morning he is on his stomach. So cute!

DS rolls from back to stomach. he started at around 4.5 months. he has not even tried to go from stomach to back yet...

DD rolled belly to back first around 11 weeks and then back to belly around 3.5 months. DS didn't start rolling until he was 7 months and did both right around the same time.

Belly to back usually comes first.
DD1 - 6 months
DS - 5 months
DD2 - 3 weeks old

DS did belly to back first at 4.5months, then back to belly a week later.
DD just did both directions on same day at 5 months
