Got a BFP on Sunday!
This was our first month back to TTC after a miscarriage in December and it worked cause on Sunday we got a positive pregnancy test! I am cautiously excited but very nervous because of the miscarriage in december, I had a very rough time physically (and emotionally). We have our first sonogram on June 1st and I just keep picturing in my mind when they told us the baby stopped growing last time. Any advice on how to relax? I want to enjoy this time but I am so scared of it happening again. I am about 4/5 weeks along now (due in January) so I have a long way to go still. Not sure on when to tell our parents too. Thanks, and I am happy to be back on these boards!

Awww hun I'm so sorry you went through that. Unfortunately I don't have any words of wisdom on how to stay calm... I was really nervous for the first 12 weeks, which decreased a good deal once I reached second tri. However, before being able to feel kicks, I still felt terrified each time I went to the doctor, due to the "unknown." Well now I feel my little man's kicks every day and am really enjoying my pregnancy - the planning, registering, etc... But to be honest with you, I still worry from time to time. But I have learned to do a lot of praying and just turn it over to God. Once my baby is here, I'll worry about SIDS, then the bus driver, then bullies at school - there is always something to worry about. But keep in mind, your worrying is a great sign that you will be a WONDERFUL mom!! Congratulations on the BFP!!!

I bet you're due right around DD's birthday. I loved being pregnant in the winter -- every time I was too hot, I just stepped outside.

congrats!! i'm in the same boat about being cautiously optimistic. i'm 7 weeks, but first OB appt isn't until a week from today. so, we haven't told anyonel that we're pregnant just in case. and that is sooooo tough.
Assuming next week's sono goes well, we'll be telling our parents Mother's Day weekend, but waiting until 12 weeks (June) to tell friends.

I am in the same boat as you, I am just about 4 1/2 weeks along and don't have my first appointment until May 25th. I'm trying to stay positive and just counting down the days till then. We are waiting until after the appointment to tell our families.
I am due right around the same time as you, Jan 4/5.

Congrats!! It is not easy to just "move on" after a MC. DH and I were TTCing for 13mos, and in the middle I had a MC. When I did get my BFP, I was SO overly cautious. I didn't want to tell ANYONE until we heard/saw the heartbeat. I only told DH (obviously) and my mom - but everyone else, we told when I was about 8 1/2 week.
Only you know what your comfort level was. It was "easy" for me to keep it secret, because I was terrified of a MC again.

such great news.. as others have siad.. you will always worry. At 28 weeks i still worry. If the baby doesnt move im rushing to try anyhting to makeit move so i can be assured. im first learning to enjoy all of it, adn instead of holding my breath when i hear theheartbeat, actually smiling through it..It takes time.. enjoy the moment now..
