Re: Nosebleeds

Constantly! This entire pregnancy I've had nose bleeds almost daily. My OB said it's due to the increased volume of blood in our bodies when preggo. I have a humidifier to help keep my nose from getting too dry at night, not that it helps much. I'm 38 weeks, 4 days and still having them!

Re: Nosebleeds

Totally normal. I had them daily from starting at 6 weeks and they lasted until 28 weeks. These weren't run of the mill bleeds either! The only thing that helped me was to put vaseline in my nose morning and night. Don't skip a single night, especially if you get on a plane.

Re: Nosebleeds

Nothing to worry about, I got them all the time, bad! had to run out of stores because I didn't have a tissue to catch the bloody mess! It slowed down a lot as i got closer to the third trimester, but it still happens here and there. Dr said it is normal. just another joy of pregnancy lol

Re: Nosebleeds

Nothing to worry about at all.
I had it with my first pregnancy and have them with this pregnancy.
When I double checked with my OB she just said the only time to be worried about them is if you cant get them to stop (I told her a few of mine took over a half an hour to stop and she said that even though that was a long time it is still not anything to worry about) and if the blood clots are excessively large (which again I have told her I have had a few that are the size of my thumb and she said that even though that is bigger than they would like normally still not something to be overly concerned about since it did not happen all the time)

Nose bleeds happen during pregnancy because of our increased volume of blood flow and increased sensitivity of our nasal tissue
