Do you think the sonogram technician will mind DH taking a video?
We're so excited about my 12 week sono and can't wait to see our LO moving around. I know they'll print out some pictures for us but do you think they will let DH take a video of the screen?
Update: we asked and the tech said no. :( oh well, at least she gave us some pics

Ours let us at our 9 week appt. I told the tech both of our parents are out of state a can we please take a video and she said sure!
Tomorrow at my 12 week appt I hope I can do it again! It is the nt scan and done at a diff place though.

In the room at my dr.'s office there is a sign that specifically says "At no time is recording an ultrasound But Im sure some techs would let it slide if you asked. It couldn't hurt.

We tried to video tape my level II, and the tech yelled at my DH as soon as she noticed it and made him turn it off immediately. My thought was they didn't want to have any evidence if they did or said something wrong. I would ask first.

You can ask but most places won't allow it . At Madonna in mineola there are signs everywhere saying no pictures or recording devices allowed.

With my DD they had no problem . With this they said no, even though explained that my family lives overseas and they would love it, even if it's just a 2 min video, but it was a no 
I'm getting my level 2 at thehospital so I'm going to ask again and hope they sayit's ok .

It depends. A lot of places wont let you do it so just ask first.

We asked for our 20 wk one at the hospital and they would not let us, something about privacy issues or something.

I think it should be fine. Why dont you ask the sono tech if she can make your sono session onto a dvd? My sono tech always records my entire sono onto a dvd for me to take home. If you arent sure you can always bring you own blank dvd just incase they dont have any of their own.

DH took a video and picture with his phone. The technician said not to post it on FB. I was glad he did because I totally missed baby waving to us :)

I would ask. At one of our early sonograms, my doctor asked DH if he wanted to take a video of the sonogram bc  was punching and kicking up a storm!

We get a sonogram everytime we go so DH asked the doctor one time and he said yes. He even narrated for us. Showed it to the whole family. It was great.
