Today is International Goof-Off Day!!!

International Goof Off Day - March 22
Here is an odd holiday that is so amazing it's not restricted to just being celebrated nationally. It's international, which means everyone everywhere should celebrate it! It's a day to take off of work or school if you can (without getting into trouble) and basically do nothing but "Goof Off". Celebrated every year on March 22nd, I think this is a holiday that needs to get more attention.
How can you do your part and celebrate this International holiday? By goofing off.
- Watch all those movies you have stored up on your DVR, Tivo or other recording device
- Play video games
- Make a cake ... but don't bake it ... batter is better
- Make cookies ... but don't bake them ... it's cookie dough ice cream without the ice cream
- Eat ice cream
- Go shopping by yourself or with friends
- It's important not to cook for the entire day ... eat out
- Post as many odd news stories as you can find on your Facebook Profile
- Be sure to inform everyone on all your social sites that it's International Goof Off Day
- Watch those DVD's you bought and haven't watched a second time
- Sit out in your yard with a "cold one" and watch the neighbors go to work
- Start a work petition to get International Goof Off Day a corporate day off for next year
- Do office chair races today
- Power nap under or on your desk
- Google your whole day away
What is the origin of International Goof Off Day? No one seems to know ... it's almost like they "goofed off" and didn't bother to write it down anywhere? I don't even find it in Wikipedia, that's how much of a goof off day this is.
I'm sure there are many more ways to celebrate this magnificent day, what are your ideas?
