When do the growth sono's begin?
I haven't had a sono since my 20 week appt. I'll be at the OB today for my 30 week checkup and I'm dying to see if the baby is "on track".
When have you girls had your first growth sono?

I had a growth sono at 32 weeks but my doctor did it more to appease me then because he thought it was necessary. I just kept asking about it---so he said Ok and sent me upstairs to do one.
Otherwise he probably wouldn't have done one until about 36/37weeks IMO...I had one at 37 weeks, baby is measuring fairly normal...so I will not be getting another one before I deliver.

With my first pregnancy i only had one, and it was at 32WEEKS..
This time i had one at 27 or 28 weeks, but that was only because i had been complaining about some pains. I will be getting another one, but i'm not sure when yet..Have an app't tomorrow, so i'll find out then.

I had my first one done at 32w because I'm measuring quite a bit bigger than I should be, but my office typically starts them at the 36w appt.

I wasn't going to get a growth sono but my dr felt I was measuring big at my 36w appt so she sent me. Baby is average!

My Dr doesn't do them unless they feel there is an issue (size, baby is breech, etc). My last one was at 20 weeks, almost 18 weeks ago!!!

check if your doctor even does them. Some don't unless there is an issue or concern like size or position.
I will get one when i'm 37 or 38 weeks to check the baby's size.

my doctor said at 36/37 weeks unless he felt I was measuring big...as of right now we are on track so I have to wait 2 more weeks

I'm having one in 2 weeks when I'm 32 weeks. My previous OB didn't do them at all unless there was cause for concern.

Mine doesnt do them either but, I asked him if he would so he is going to set me up to have one at 36 weeks to check the size, fluids, etc.
