Pre School question
I have a DS who is 2 years, 3 months old and his birthday is the end of November. I am also expecting another baby this summer. Due to some trouble getting pregnant ... dealing with trips to the infertility clinic ...I got a little side tracked on looking into pre schools earlier. I also have limited social interaction and not much financial support. I also became a bit depressed with trying to get pregnant. Lat thing you should know is I'm a stay at home mom so I have felt a bit isolated.
Anyway, DS is used to taking his naps around 1:00. DH and I visited two preschools today and I am starting to get blocked out of morning classes. At first I thought I wanted PM classes because of getting DS and newborn out the door at 8:00 for preschool. Are any of you in the situation where you did PM pre school and regret it? It would be for 2 or 3 days a week for 2.5 hours depending on which school he goes to which depends on if can be fully potty trained by end of July. I am now starting to think I want am, still have a shot but not like if I started looking earler.

Re: Pre School question
I did choose AM because I wanted DD to still take naps. But, right before school started, she gave up her naps! So she doesnt sleep anyway.
If you think he is still gonna nap, then def try for AM's. Or - you can always just try to get him down for a quick nap after school.
I am a SAHM too and I know how nice it is to have the kids nap, so you can get a break.

Re: Pre School question
My DD#1 did a 2 day 2 hour program for 2 year olds. DD#2 is doing it now. I don't have a problem with it. The only thing that can be an issue is if your DC still naps. It did mess with DD#1's naps but DD#2 on the other hand had been nap free for many months before she started so it didn't change her schedule at all. It is just long enough to get them some alone social time and getting use to the classroom feel and rules etc.

Re: Pre School question
DD started a 2 morning a week program when she was 2 and I had a two month old DS. It definitely was hard at first to time getting us all out of the house but she didnt have to be there until 930 so it wasnt so bad. Just took a little getting used to. I will say that I was determined to have her go in the mornings because I wanted to preserve that afternoon nap as much as possible if only for my sake for a break in the afternoon. Now at almost 3, I wouldnt be so rigid about not doing afternoon classes because she doesnt take naps every day but at 2, it was important to me that she nap every afternoon.
