Re: Pinterest Question

I was just thinking about this! I want to make one of my boards private so my sister can't see what i'm pinning for her bridal shower (not that she's on pinterest yet but she could join at any time). Maybe we should email them with the request...

its been requested time and time again, but they won't do it for the fact that because of the "idea" it would basically squash the concept of it.

does it make sense?

I just began to Pin with some of my friends, it is hard to hide stuff if it is not suppose to be seen by others. *(requests have been made, and nothing happens)*----- but it is fun stuff, I love it.

What I would do is just do something not really noticable if you decide to pin and not name the board as is but as something fun and diffrent.

We are planning our wedding and its crazy with all the things you can do on this site. And let us not forget LI Weddings!

Good luck. And have fun

Me neither! I know this sounds crazy, but my Cousins BFF follows me, & repins every.single.thing. I pin.

She never has an original pin of her own, not one. I don't know why this irks me, but it does.

Re: Pinterest Question

Can't you simply create a sep. account that no one knows or can follow?

I don't know how you could do that since it's invite only. Chat Icon

I think only sometimes it is invite only. I signed up without an invite. Maybe it was a slow day?

But they could do it so what you pin is still searchable, it just wouldn't be linked to your private "board" for all to see. And they could do something like only allow 1 private board per account. OR allow you to block certain people...

I'm pretty obsessed with it though and have so many great ideas for so many things, I just hope my sister doesn't join anytime soon! Chat Icon

Can't you just invite yourself? You may need a new email account (I don't use Pinterest, so not sure of the details), but it's just as easy to create a new gmail account (which would aid in keeping the "private" board "private")
