How do you fight fatigue?
I'm in my 1st trimester (a couple of weeks in) and I cannot stay up. I'm always tired and needing a nap. It seems I go to work, come home and go straight to bed. Is there anything I can do to energize myself?

Re: How do you fight fatigue?
There's not much you can do. I was in bed by 8:30 -9pm with both pregnancies. You will get your energy back by the 2nd trimester.

Re: How do you fight fatigue?
Sounds like me. I am almost now 16 wks and am just now, able to stay up to 11pm. For me, I think its just riding out the wave until you have more energy. As my DH puts it, "Its hard work baking a baby."

Re: How do you fight fatigue?
I can't fight it. The second I sit down on the train I'm out.
Sometimes I can't even wait for dh to come home so we can have dinner together because I'm so shot. I'll eat something at 7pm and off to bed I go.
Even when I do wait for him I still manage to pass out on the sofa with him at around 8:30pm.
Good Luck

Re: How do you fight fatigue?
You cannot fight it...this is my fourth pregnancy and the first trimester knocked me on my ass every time...I am nearly 9 weeks and cannot wait for week 14 or 15 when I know my energy will come back - seriously the Second trimester is so different and it rocks!!! hang in there.

Re: How do you fight fatigue?
There's no fighting it. It's a losing battle in the first tri. I was usually asleep by 8 all the time and even 7:30 on some occasions. Barely ate dinner before I was out cold. But it gets better!
