bactrim for uti? category c

would you take it? i already took two doses and its not recommened to stop bc it can cause more problems...but its super making me nervous that its a cat c.

was on macrobid and did nothing

It's risk vs benefit. If I needed it, yes I would take it. The risk of an untreated uti is a pyelonephritis (kidney infection). Which then requires even bigger guns. Besides you don't want a pyelo in pregnancy. Sorry if this sounded scary, but yes I would take it.
