Who are you using? I am so confused because I get so many emails from different companies that I don't know where to start.

I used Viacord with ds #1 and will be using them again. I selected them primarily because they have done the most successful transfers in each of the 2 types of cancers that run strongly in my family. Their customer support is great & I've been very happy with them!

we just asked my doctor last night about this, he told us the 2 most reputable ones are Viacord (my sister used them) and CBR.
I checked their prices online last night and they run about the same.

I just wanted to add that Viacord called me because I had entered a contest with them & was put on their call list. I told her that I wanted to sign up, but didn't have a coupon that I had handy since they called me. She said "Oh - is it the $500 coupon?" There was a "wink, wink, nod, nod" tone in her voice so I said "Uh - yeah!" (even though I had a $300 coupon) and she gave me $500 off! If you call them for info you might be able to do the same thing!

Because my baby came early I did not receive the kit in time for her birth so I deceided to donate her cord blood. However when they came to collect the cord there was very little so I am happy I did not pay all the money for storage.

FYI, they (cord banking companies) will refund your money if there isn't enough cord blood to collect..
Just an FYI for those who wondered about that.
ETA that I used Viacord with all of my kids..

i had the same issue with very little blood to be collected.

viacord with DD and viacord with this baby.
they have a $500 off coupon which expires 12/31 in case if anyone wants to use it. my ob saidthat after 1/1 it wil go downto $300 off bc i asked. so FYI!
