BF Moms - Question about your first PPAF - Was it horrendous? *TMI*
I am 12m PP and I just stopped BF 3 weeks ago. I got AF today for the first time today and it is HORRENDOUS. I am bleeding through super tampons within the hour.. through my underwear AND my jeans. 
I know that it is supposed to be heavy but oh.my.GOD.
Was your first PPAF this ridiculous or should I call my OB?

My first 4 PPAFs were like I was going to bleed out on the floor and die

OMG - I had to go into the office today and I am sitting at my desk mortified! I now have to ride the subway AND LIRR like this... wahhhhh!
I normally don't get AF at all (you already know this), so I am just in shock right now.
Glad to know it's normal... I guess...

Yes. Ive only had 2 PPAF so far and they have both been very heavy.

I've only had 2 so far, but yeah, they're definitely heavy. I wasn't too crampy, but I couldn't believe how heavy the flow was. I'm hoping they'll lighten up soon.

YUP!! Got mine at 3 months PP and I am still BFing at 6 months 
I couldn't even wear a tampon. I doubled up on overnight pads and was soaking through every hour. Since then, it's gotten better.

so funny.. i just posted about this too. i had to throw out a pair of underwear today because i stained them so badly!
i guess its normal, but ugh!
didn't realize it would be for more than one month either.. seriously, this is another of those things that you never hear about the whole giving birth process!

yes, it's unfortunately normal!!! so gross. mine are still pretty heavy and i've had AF for 14months now!

Normal- and not just for BFing moms- for all moms.
I didn't BF and My first PP period was so scary I called my OB.
I thought I was bleeding to death.
They said it's normal
It will regulate over time!

ughhhhh oh no Maria. . .& you're in the office today
but even as a non BFing Mom with Joey, AF was BAD too.VERY bad, I was bleeding through things too, I thought something was wrong with me. It stops though.
