DSi or DSiXL???
I'm finally breaking down and buying my 6 year old DD one for Christmas because you know, "All my friends have one..."
Which one do "all the friends" have? Personally, I am leaning toward the XL. Is that what all the cool 1st graders have or doesn't it matter?

I've seen a pretty even mix among DS's friends. DS had a DSi, and now has a 3DS. His older cousin has a DSiXL. The friends of DS that I know of seem to have the DSi, but I've seen some of each at different events (soccer, etc)

We are going with the DSiXL for Christmas....I like the bigger screen, and DH has been reading hte reviews and is happy with what he has read so far.
We are also getting the "All my friends have one" thing this year. We held out this long. She's way past the leapster games now, so.... that'll be her big christmas gift this year!

Definitely need the Nerf protector! I actually modified a DSi model to fit DS's 3DS, because they didn't have any at the time. Now, Nerf has an actual 3DS cover.
He dropped his 3DS yesterday (and I'm sure other times as well, I just didn't see it...  ), but nothing happened to it. It's always protected, even when in use, unlike the pouches.

My DS has a DSI and DEFINITELY buy the nerf cover. His slipped off the table and the hinge broke. I since replaced and it now is in the Nerf cover....
