Help calm me down...

So I am about 15 weeks now and am very nervous about what is going on in there? I never had many symptoms to begin with but now I feel almost normal (with the exception of a horrible cold that isn't helping anything). No movement yet, no nausea, etc. Everything is still ok in there right?! My next appointment isn't for 3.5 weeks weeks and I just want to hear the heartbeat againChat Icon I know the 2nd trimester is suppose to be "better" but I thought I would have a little more confirmation that everything was still going ok. Sorry for rambling....nervous mom2be.

Re: Help calm me down...

I still had M/S at 15 weeks with this pregnancy. With my first pregnancy, I didn't feel the baby until 17 weeks. This is the in between time. You feel pretty good, most don't feel the baby yet and you don't have much of a baby belly. It is totally normal! In another couple of weeks you should be able to feel the baby and will have a nice baby belly. Don't stress out! I'm sure everything is fine.

FYI, two of my OB where suprised I felt the baby before 20 weeks. They both said on different occassions that it is not common to feel the baby before the 20th week.

Re: Help calm me down...

With DS I had aboslutely no symptoms that I used to forget that I was preggo sometimes. It happens with some people & I told myself that if something was wrong, my body would tell me either with cramping or a lot of bleeding & so on.

You are just one of the lucky ones who feel good & happen to have a great pregnancy Chat Icon

Re: Help calm me down...

I feel pretty normal myself. It's like the nausea and averisons completely disappeared once I hit 14 weeks. Knock on wood! Maybe you should invest in a heartbeat monitor. I have one and it def put me at ease the other day

Re: Help calm me down...

When I was 15 weeks I felt great. I never had any MS with the pregnancy and really felt OK even in the very beginning. Now, at 32 weeks I still have no complaints (not to tired, not swollen). I did stop working at 28 weeks which might have helped Chat Icon I am sure everything is FINE, they say the 2nd trimester is the best!

Re: Help calm me down...

I completely understand! With my first pregnancy I had symptoms up the wazzooo. I was literally getting sick every 2 seconds through my 26th week. And as miserable as it was, it was reassuring because it was a constant reminder that I was PG and that the morning sickness was a part of it.

This pregnancy the 2nd trimester was daunting. I kept telling DH that I couldn't wait to go to the doctor and he thought I was silly. But I really looked forward to hearing the heartbeat...since my symptoms were so much less...almost non-existant!

Re: Help calm me down...

i'm 30 weeks and i have felt nothing the entire time... symptom wise. (except acid reflux which just started)

This is my 2nd, so i've been feeling the baby move since 13 weeks, but with my 1st it wasn't until 20 weeks.

Relax. Take a breath. Feeling good right now is normal! Chat Icon Chat Icon

Thanks for all of the calming words ladies. I definitely do consider myself lucky, I just need to remember they call it the honeymoon trimester for a reason
