Spaghetti squash recipe
My MIL is coming to town. She barely eats and is a very picky, very healthy eater. I cook healthy generally, but she basically likes bland flood without much sauce, sweetness, spice. She eats fish, pasta, veggies, cheese, no meat. She is staying for a week, and I need to make a menu, mostly that I can cook in my crockpot.
I have my menu mostly worked out, but would like to make spaghetti squash one night. I've made it before and it's been ok, but not great. Anyone have a recipe for spaghetti squash that isn't too difficult? Also, can I cook the squash in my crockpot during the day, and then make the sauce at night?
If you have any other suggestions for meals, especially for the crockpot, that you think someone like her would like, please let me know.
TIA!

Re: Spaghetti squash recipe
I cut the squash in half, place in microwave safe dish with a little water at the bottom, place cut sides up in dish and cover with saran wrap poking a hole so it can release some steam. Start with 5-7 minutes and keep testing it to see if its soft all the way through
When its done, shred the inside with a fork, add butter and a little maple syrup and serve ... Its so good!
