I can't believe how small this world is!!! UPDATE
So we are in contract to buy a house (this post is not Home related, btw!!)
I decided to be nosy out of boredom and looked up the sellers on FB and I found the wife. She is FB friends with DH's cousins and aunt who live in FLORIDA!!!!
What are the odds of this?? The house is here on LI and they are possibly related to DH's family!!
It's 1:30am and I HAD to tell someone because no one i know is awake!
It's truly a small small world.
UPDATE - It's DH's cousin's best friend from when they lived in NY like 25 years ago.

My mother-in-law bought my OLD neighbors house.
The couple lived by us, moved, got divorced and 15 years later I see a note on her table with the neighbors name. I ask why - she said that's who owns the house.
And my cousin bought my sisters friends aunt's house.

So sort of to spinoff to my own thread...
We're at what might be an impasse with buying the house. The appraisal came in short and we do not have the money to make up the difference so we are waiting on the sellers to decide if they are going to come down in price. Should we speak with DH's cousin and ask him to speak to his friends (the sellers) and let them know we are completely serious about buying this house (the loan is approved, only thing holding us back is the appraisal since we need a concession) and maybe they'll cut us a little slack because of the relation? Or would that just be inappropriate.

If they refuse to lower and I really want the house, I may ask the cousin to drop a hint to the friend, assuming it's a good friend, not just some acquaintance... you never know it could make a difference.
