For anyone interested in watching...my dad is in a documentary airing this Sat night...

The movie is called "New York Says Thank You".

WWOR My9 is the NY station airing it (8-10). It's a fox affiliate i believe. I am in MD and i know its airing in baltimore too.

I haven't even seen it yet but my sister went to the premiere with him and said it was great.

It follows the story of 4 people who have gone across the US for the past few years since the foundation was started-they help different areas that have been affected by disasters or other catastrophic events..(whether it be natural disasters or fires etc..). The foundation basically picks something every year around the time of 9/11 to help rebuild.

My dad is one of the 4 profiled throughout the movie, i am really interested in seeing what its all about. I wish I knew more but our relationship was a bit strained for some time (even though we were close earlier in my life..). Things are slowly getting better though. I know he has done so much in these last few years.

He was one of a few from Bovis construction who oversaw the cleanup/removal of Ground Zero. Since then he just poured himself into this volunteer work, it just really affected him in ways that I'll never truly understand but try to.

So if you're interested check it out! His name is Charlie Vitchers.
