How many times does your potty-trained child get up at night to pee?
Curious.
DD is 4 and a total drinking machine. Our schedules don't really permit for cutting off liquids 2 hours before bedtime, just not going to happen.
She's getting up at least once a night and having an accident almost every night too (too soundly sleeping, she doesn't even remember peeing in her sleep).

DD never gets up (never has). But you know that difference about our girls!
I would just let C wear a pull-up at night until her body's ready to hold it through the night.

DS is also 4 and he just started getting better at nightime dryness. He was having frequent accidents. We don't eat dinner until 7:15 p.m. and he goes to bed around 8:00 p.m. I have him pee, before bath, after bath and then DH goes in to kiss him good night around 8:30 p.m. and makes him go again. He rarely wakes to pee although he occasionally does.
Good luck!

Re: How many times does your potty-trained child get up at night to pee?
DD is 3.5 and she still sleeps in a pull-up. For awhile she was in underwear but then started to have accidents every other night and I couldn't take it anymore so it was back to pull-ups. I told her when she can go a week with a dry pull-up we'd go back to underwear but so far she has only made it 3 nights.

DS is four and I do not limit drinks in my house either. He will get up to go to the bathroom if he needs to, but he will come and get us first.

Re: How many times does your potty-trained child get up at night to pee?
DD was having accidents every night for a while. This was even when I would get her up to go before I went to bed.
Now, she has accidents maybe 1x per week, maybe even less than that.
She doesn't usually get up to go at night, maybe once in a blue moon.
I bought these twin bed sheet saver things from one step ahead, makes those middle of the night accidents a little easier since you just rip that off instead of changing sheets in the middle of the night.

DS drinks A LOT but has only had 2 accidents since being potty trained. He has a potty in his room because we do not have one in our upstairs. He usually goes 1 x before bed, gets up one time during the night, and sometimes will urinate when he wakes up.

Re: How many times does your potty-trained child get up at night to pee?
She will be 3 this month but has been potty trained since late June. We used to put pull ups on her (her Night Undies) but she's never had an accident. She gets up and tells us she has to go.
Sadly once we closed her bedroom door (as we always have) and she was too sleepy to say much and tried to open the door but ended up peeing in her pants at the door before we could open it (we heard her in our monitor but we were too late).
So far that's the only accident.
She sleeps through the night and oddly won't even go when she wakes up which we totally don't understand as both of us go hahaha!

Re: How many times does your potty-trained child get up at night to pee?
How long has she been potty trained? For the first month DD would have an accident almost every couple of nights. She would never get up to go, I would just make her go before bed. (I didn't cut out her liquids either) Then all of a sudden she stopped having accidents and now she gets up once a night to go. Some nights she doesn't get up at all.
She did have her 1st accident in about a month the other night. We had a really long day and I think she was just so tired , it just kinda happened.

DD is almost 4 and doesn't get up to go potty at night. When she wakes up in the morning, the first thing she does is go to the potty.

Re: How many times does your potty-trained child get up at night to pee?
None. But DS has been waking up dry since he turned 2yo. Although I still put him in a pull up, just because. Occasionally he will call us that he has to go pee, but thats maybe 1x a month if that.

with #1 - I would bring her to the potty before I went to bed, for almost a year after being day trained. She'd pretty much sleep though it but she'd go. I also had her in pull-ups at night ("night time panties")
with #2 - he's a camel. He barely goes during the day, and has never needed to at night, never used pull ups. He's had 1 accident in the 6+months he's been trained.

I do the 'dream pee' with Charlie. She sleeps through it and goes through the night without issue.

None, and never has. We do limit drinks before bed though. Usually it's about a half a glass of water an hour or so before bed.

Re: How many times does your potty-trained child get up at night to pee?
DD rarely does, she's been like that since she nighttime potty trained.
DS sleeps really deeply, I wake him up around midnight to go to the bathroom otherwise he will have an accident, and then he wakes up about 6am to go again.

We bring Jack every night at 10:30. If we don't he will pee in the middle of the night for sure.

I would just let C wear a pull-up at night until her body's ready to hold it through the night.
DS rarely get up, he holds it till morning. He doesn't drink before bed though. Once in a blue moon I will hear him in the middle of the night use the toilet and then he goes back to bed. .
I also agree with letting her wear a pull-up till her body gets used to it. This is what we did with our DS and it eventually got to the point where he was waking up dry consistently so we took away the pullup. He had an accident with the underwear the first night and has woken up dry ever since. Good luck!

Re: How many times does your potty-trained child get up at night to pee?
I don't think my DD (almost 4) has ever gotten up...we don't give any drinks after dinner...it may not always be 2 hrs before bed...but maybe when it is with food...it is absorbed..lol

Re: How many times does your potty-trained child get up at night to pee?
My son is 3.5 and has been potty trained for a year and he has been doing pretty good in underwear all night. Maybe one accident a week, usually while he is sleeping. Last night I said to him please make sure if you have to pee you don't pee in your undies or in your bed. He got up dropped his underwear on the floor and peed from his room to mine across the house! That was a first and not fun to clean up! I never thought to just pick him up while he is sleeping and make him go right before I go to bed.

Re: How many times does your potty-trained child get up at night to pee?
We are nearing 4 weeks since starting seriously and 2 weeks of him going willingly & on his own.
I was not concerned, nor was I trying to potty train for nighttime, but it must have clicked at the same time. Anyhow, he has been dry 12 days out of 14 in the morning over the last 2 weeks. Still keeping him in a pullup.
He does not wake to go in the night. I also don't really limit his liquid. I just make sure he goes just as we head to his room.

Re: How many times does your potty-trained child get up at night to pee?
We put Kaydyn in a pull up at night. She wakes up dry most mornings but sometimes she's not.
She has been waking up once every other night basically saying she has to go.
We can't really limit liquids because we don't get home from work until almost 7pm...so we're usually eating dinner around 7:30pm and then she goes to bed at 8:30/9.

Re: How many times does your potty-trained child get up at night to pee?
never..
you need to cut off the liquids before bedtime.. that's the only way that'll stop the accidents.. once she has it mastered, then you can let her have some closer to her bedtime
