If your child is/was on Nutramagin
Was it covered by your insuarance? If so how did that work?
If not, what were the best places to buy it?
Did you use powder or Ready to serve cans?
Im BFing, but DD seems to have a milk protein allergy, and Im trying to cut all milk from my diet, but so far its not working out so I may be switching to the nutramagin.

DS is on it and no my Insurance does not cover a dime of it & I tried every angle.
Call 1-800-Baby-123 and sign up for the program they have. They will send you some samples and coupons to get you started.
DS takes the powder and we get the big cans (19oz) from either Target or BRU. We use $5 MFG coupons so it comes to about $29 a can.
Luckily, the past few months our Ped's office has carried it and they have been giving us a case or 2 of the small cans when we go in.
DS is 10 months now and has had whole milk yogurt, ice cream, etc.. so the Ped said we could take him off it we wanted to, but I just figure stay on it until he is on milk 100%.
I can't wait till he is off though, it's a fortune!

My insurance covers its 80% so we pay the differnce, The Peditrican had to write a letter requesting the insurance to cover it. Once they approved it the insurance gave me a number to call to order it. it gets deleverd to my house.

Thanks! With the powder can you make a batch in advance, or do you have to make it each bottle at a time? The ped gave us a sample and it says on the powder Do not heat...

Thats awesome!!! Do they send you more as DC starts to drink more in a bottle, or is it a set qty monthly?

Re: If your child is/was on Nutramagin
We thought my DD had a milk protein allergy (turned out she didn't) and I had looked into it. My insurance covered it from select suppliers (Edge Park and Apria) with a letter of medical necessity. It would just be a $30 copay with every monthly shipment.

We always made each bottle at a time, never in advance and we use room temp bottled water.
