Re: El Dorado Casitas -Riviera Maya and Sandals Whitehouse
DH and I went to El Dorado and stayed in a casita in 2008 and honestly I was NOT a fan at all!! The casitas were not as clean as I would have expected and were somewhat "outdated." The resort itself was HUGE and a total PITA to get around, and the food was mediocre at best!
If you want to go to Mexico we have had FABULOUS experiences at Excellence Riveria Maya and Exellence Playa Mujeres! We honestly cannot wait to go back to the Excellence at Playa Mujeres it was GORGEOUS and everything we could have asked for in a hotel!!
HTH-Good Luck!!!

Re: El Dorado Casitas -Riviera Maya and Sandals Whitehouse
I went to Sandals Whitehouse last November.
The beach is the best beach of the Sandals I've been to, there is a lot of beach.
The hotels are set up into villages (Italian, Dutch, French) depending on room category. Depending on what village you are in you can be very very far from the restaurants/main pool.
We preferred the French pool over the main pool
FM me if you have any specific questions.
