I am having an amnio on Thursday (I will be 15 weeks) I'm so nervous, does anyone know how long you have to wait for the results?

You can get FISH results the next day. That is usually for chromosomes 13, 18, 21 and gender. The rest depends on what they are testing for.

We got FISH results in a few days and then full results in 2 weeks (maybe 10 days).
I was prepared for it to be scary but it wasn't as bad as I expected.
Good luck and take a deep breath!

Deep breath..
we had our FISH results the next day, which really helped put my mind at ease about most of it, then we got the remaining results about 10 days later.
good luck! think of it as another opportunity to see your little one on the sono moving around

I did one on a Friday and had FISH results Monday.
I did not get final amnio results until 2 solid wks later.
