yay or nay
I think this dress would work for me. BUT, I want to hem it to above the knee, just where the side ruffle ends.
How would you accessorize it? What kind of necklace?
link for better picture

Pretty dress. I wouldn't add a necklance, neckline is too busy imo. I would wear big earrings, nothing that hangs though.

Re: yay or nay
Nay for me, sorry! I think it's very busy and isn't very flattering. I think it's all those chiffon layers in the front, because it's doesn't look that bad from the back.
Also, I am sure you can find something else that you won't have to cut and just be able to wear as is. It just seems like so much work especially considering that you don't really know how it will come out at the end. Such dramatic change in the length can throw the whole dress completely out of proportion. JMHO.

Re: yay or nay
thanks girls really appreciate the honest opinions, all your opinions are like what is going on in my head!
I think I'm just going to order it and try it on and then think if its worth cutting it.

It's a pretty dress, but i think with that side ruffle, cutting it may throw the whole proportion of the dress off
i wouldn't wear a necklace with it, just some nice chandelier earrings and bracelet

Re: yay or nay
I think with the chiffon material and the ruffles, it's not going to be quite so simple to cut the dress short. I think you could find another dress that's already short, KWIM?
