Question for Moms of Two...
With DD due in less than 2 months I'm starting to get a little panicked about how the heck you find the time for everything...and sleep! ANY advice on how you balance everything? Tips? Ways to stay sane? Little timesavers? Anything??

Don't worry!!! I did this the entire time with my last pregnancy and I felt like I missed it. It will just happen. Somehow it always does.

Re: Question for Moms of Two...
Just realized you asked for tips...sorry. If formula feeding set up your stuff before bed time. I always had the formula (powder) in the bottles with bottled water at room temp next to them, so I didn't have to leave my bed to get him bottles, try to get them on the same eating, sleeping schedule this was you get some sort of break. Also have your older one help out by showing him where the babies onsies are so he can help you feed, and cloth him.

Re: Question for Moms of Two...
My salvation has been the fact that DS1 already had a routine established...that routine has been OUR routine so it was just a matter of getting DS2 onboard. And because the routine was drilled into my mind it made it easier to get the baby onto it.
With DS1 we had to establish a routine...with DS2 we just had to put him on the one we had...easier in that regard.
The juggling works out in time. It's trial and error to find what works but you will find a way to get everyone onboard.

ITA with all of this! I am a pretty big routine person! My DS has been on one since day 1 (and he's 4 now..LOL). I used to babysit and took a week, but, I then had her on the same routine as DS.
When DD came home, same thing. Played around a bit and then she (we) got it!
It works out!

OK, that makes me feel a bit better. We've had a set routine with DS from the beginning as well. Thank you ladies! I think part of it is there are various things around the house that have been unorganized and driving me crazy and I was realizing, "[email protected] I don't do this now..."

I agree with Ang-I will just add that you need to develop a higher threshold for the crying. It seems someone is always crying and some one always has to wait a second

Re: Question for Moms of Two...
Take any help that is offered, no matter how small, and don't be afraid to ask for help either. Make some freezer meals before you have DC2 that you can make when you come home the first week or so.
I'm another one who is big on routines and found DD2 kind of naturally fell into what was already in place. Keeping DD1 in routine was crucial to that though.
Take some time to yourself. Seriously. Take some time to yourself. Even if it is an hour to soak in a bubble bath by yourself or a trip to the grocery store. Sanity.
Make some time for Mommy-DC1 time. Jealousy is bound to happen, and DC1 may feel left out. If your DC1 is old enough, enlist them to be a helper (getting diapers, picking out an outfit for baby based on a couple choices etc)
