has anyone been and NOT stayed at Beaches? DH thinks all inclusive resorts are cheesy with terrible food and overly crowded. Any recommendations on other 5 start resorts?

Yes, DH stayed at Club Med in Turks and Caikos and LOVED it. We are planning to go there next year and do Club Med.

DH & I went last November and stayed at the Regent Palm. Hotel was absolutely gorgeous, the service was impeccable - we highly recommend it.

Re: turks and caicos

i heard such great things about regent palm, but i was hoping for something more "resorty" with multiple restaurants, etc, but Turks seems more boutiqe-style. I am just nervous about running a 3K bill on food alone it looks so expensive and you need cabs to get to many of the other hotels and restaurants, which are also apparently expensive! I'll keep looking, i think we can afford a studio in the Regent Palm- the suites are close to a grand a night Chat Icon but i heard such great things. It's between Regent Palms, Sands (WAY more affordable), Beaches (would be way cheaper b/c it's all inclusive) and Seven Stars and Regent Grand. I know that's a lot but we just can't decide! There is no like huge hilton with tons of different restaurants and pools.

Also, to stay in the Regent Palm in January it would cost $3,400 for 5 nights in the STUDIO I believe garden view and only includes a continental bkfst. Not sure we can afford it- but is it even worth it???!! We can stay at beaches for the same price all inclusive.... can't decide!
