Baby Gowns?

Do you put a onsie underneath a baby gown? Sorry for all the dump questions. But he is arriving soon and I feel like I know nothing LOL.

Re: Baby Gowns?

Don't worry, we all have plenty of questions at one time or another Chat Icon so keep on asking! that is what we are here for Chat Icon

I do put a onesie underneath the gown. Gowns tend to be a bit thin. I also put a onesie under the sleep n plays, just in case you are wondering. As a matter of fact, I put onesies underneath most clothing. OK, so I did for my daughter and will do with the triplets once they arrive....Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Baby Gowns?

Kerri - A baby gown is exactly what it sounds like. It's like a nightgown for a baby. Usually long sleeves with the mock mittens if you want to use them (we never did; we had read it's better for babies to have the tactile sensation from the beginning... I just learned to cut her nails very quickly). The bottom is kinda elasticky but open so it's really easy to change a diaper in the middle of the night.

We did not use a onesie under the gown usually, but we really only used gowns maybe the first week or 10 days and not even that often. I usually stuck one on her if she pooped or peed through her diaper onto whatever she was wearing and it was the middle of the night and I couldn't deal with trying to dress her in more than one layer.
