Extremely frustrated re: diaper leaking at night
My daughter is almost 5 months old, about 15 pounds and wears the size 2 diaper. We do Pampers Baby Dry or Huggies. Since we've started solids, I have noticed a big increase in pee pee! Just about every night now, I wake up to her diaper leaking, and pee up her back. Thankfully I have the ultimate crib sheet, which snaps arounds the rails, making the sheet change not as big a deal as if I were lifting up the matresss, totally removing bumpers, etc. I also use a NoJo sheetshaver for drool/spit up. (Drool, spit up NEVER happens, though!) Anyway, my mom suggested plastic diaper covers. Do you think that would work and prevent pee from running actually up her back? Is there a better diaper? She goes to bed at 7:30 pm and wakes about 6. My SIL says they don't make a true overnight diaper until size 3. I thought of using one of the Pee Wees I have on her changing table under her at night, but I'm worried it would slide around and end up on top of her. I really dislike waking to changing and washing sheets every morning, esp. on mornings I work! LOL! then I wonder is it normal to pee this much, and should I be calling the doc to see if she has a urine infection? She doesn't cry when she pees though. Ahhhh! Thankfully she has never had a diaper rash. I use Baby Vaseline for diaper rash or CA Baby....DH asked me if she could get a rash on her back due to the urine, and I have no idea.

I did start using Huggies overnight although DD wasn't true to that size because I couldn't stand changing the seats each morning! She would pee totally up her back! I just fitted them a bit tighter and it has done the trick!

We use Luvs. DS has never leaked through and he pees a lot at night, that is one heavy diaper when I change him in the morning!
