Pregnant moms of 1 or more....
DD is 1 yo and, as many young kids do, is constantly vying for affection. She is so heavy and active - sometimes she hits my belly and I am not sure how to prevent it. I can't not pick her up or avoid getting kicked. Any advice?

My son is 2 and I just try to keep telling him he needs to be "gentle" because of the baby in Mommy's belly. Though I was slightly reassured when my friend told me that her doctor had said your kid could climb all over you, kick you, etc. and the baby would be fine - it's really protected in there!

I get kicked EVERY day at work (I examine children). I have completely given up by this point. I figure everything is cushioned... For DS I just explain to be nice ad cuddle the baby so he's aware he's in there...
